Aunthentic Montague "Hummer" Military Paratrooper Folding Mountain Bike.
Genuine Montague Hummer Paratrooper Folding Mountain Bicycle in rare red with 21 speeds. In excellent and clean condition, garaged, and with upgraded components and parts. Recently tuned up by a bike shop with newly installed grips, cables, brake pads, tubes and tires. Has cosmetic blemishes and scratches from normal use. Kickstand not included.
This is a full-sized folding bike (standard 26" wheels) and a fully capable mountain bike that features the same patented Folding Integrated Technology (F.I.T.) in the Paratrooper Military Mountain Bike that Montague developed for the U.S. Marines to deploy from aircraft.
The F.I.T. design allows the bike to fold via concentric seat tubes instead of cutting the frame in half and welding a hinge onto it as on other folding bikes. F.I.T. keeps the frame intact and structurally strong enough for military and off-road use. It was a joint collaboration between Montague and General Motors to design and manufacture a HUMMER Tactical Mountain Bike that folds to fit in the back of GM's Hummer and offered to match their red model.
This Special Edition Hummer Paratrooper 26" Folding Mountain Bike comes with Medium 20" frame, Alloy V-Style Shimano Rear Brakes with Alloy Levers and Promax Front disc Brakes with Dual Pad Adjustment, front SR Suntour XCT Suspension System, Double Butted 7005 Series Aluminum Front and Rear Triangle, Black 32 Hole Double Wall Alloy Wheels, 8 Speed, Shimano Shifters, Crankset 42/34/24 SR Suntour, 26" X 1.95 Knobby Front and Rear Specific Tires, and Bear Trap Pedals.
Folded size is 36" x 28" x 12", and weighs about 30 pounds.
