1993 Schwinn Hurricane 23" XXL Steel Hardtail Mountain Bike Frame Red

For sale is one used*: 1993 Schwinn Hurricane Men's Red 23-inch Steel Hardtail Mountain Bike Frame (no fork) . *Condition Notes: 1) Frame has heavy cosmetic wear in the form of paint chips.  The frame had been stripped down some time ago and it appears most of the damage actually occurred from storage (the rear triangle in particular was mostly chipped by a chain that had been left on the frame).  Chips range from primer-deep to metal with superficial rust. 2) Frame is structurally sound and appears to have actually been ridden very little.  There are no dents or cracks.  There is superficial patina to the tube openings from exposure to weather (bicycle is from the desert, so nothing serious--just some 'rust dust' that wiped right off). 3) Frame has been wiped down but not thoroughly cleaned.  All it really needs is some WD-40 at the head tube, seat tube, and bottom brackets, followed by a greasing. 4) I'm not absolutely certain of the age but research seems to indicate it is a 1993 model. 5) O.L.D. is ~128mm which I believe to be a transitional spacing suited to either 126 or 130mm standards. 6) Includes frame only.  No fork or any other parts, save for the bottom bracket cable guide. All and all, while not a pretty frame, it is a functionally-sound option for your vintage project.
