Super cool one of a kind early hand brazed Keith Bontrager built mountain bike. Fully reconditioned with mostly original (some very unique) parts , 100% ready to ride.
Original paint on the frame and fork, this has not been restored. Minor scuffs and scratches but nothing unsightly. No dents, no dings, bends or other damage. Campagnolo dropouts, front and rear rack/fender mounts, shoulder/porter strap braze-ons.
-Unique Campagnolo C-Record down tube shifters converted to thumbies.
-Rare black alloy Nitto Bull Moose bars
- Unique Black anodized Campagnolo record hubs
- Skinny Mavic 26” (rerolled 700c?) rims with “Vicious Wheels” and “Valerie Ross” written in the rim bed
-Rare black Specialized flag crankset.
-Black specialized headset
- NEW snakebelly skinwall tires/tubes
-Campagnolo front derailleur
-Deerhead rear der
-Super clean Suntour XC-2 pedals
- Turbo saddle
- Black M700 brakes w/ DC levers
Overall a fantastic example of an early period Mountain Bike made by one of the legends w/ a super unique build that has mostly remained a time capsule. I changed the saddle, pedals, and rubber goods and that’s it.
Will be carefully and professionally packed with all proper materials, ask any questions, offers welcome.
