Enlarge Description Here is a rare original Feb 1967 SCHWINN STINGRAY "FASTBACK" 20"
BICYCLE! (BC Serial Number)This bike is from the era when most
everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come
to mind!) This is one of the coolest bikes made by Schwinn! They look cool and are great riding bikes! *The bike is in the nice looking and very appealing copper/orange (not quite coppertone but close) painted frame and forks with newer decals. The bike has cool wide
apehanger handlebars, matching Coppertone Gold Schwinn hand grips, chrome fenders front
and rear, cool rear sissy bar, gorgeous Schwinn Krate style BOW pedals, Schwinn 5-speed mag sprocket, "AS" (Arnold Schwinn seat post clamp) chrome kickstand, and so much more! I dont know where you
would find another like it! It is awesome! The bike is an original
5-speed STICK SHIFT with operable hand controlled brakes. (cables look original) Has the cool krate "mag" sprocket in place. The hand brakes are operable. LOVE the Schwinn STICK SHIFTER with overload tube. (shift cable is not attached to the SPRINT derailleur. The seat is gorgeous SCHWINN STINGRAY smoothie seat with the tag on the rear! WOW! This one has has Schwinn S5 front chrome rim and a Schwinn S5 5-speed rear. The tires hold air and are nice looking Schwinn Fastback SLIK and Schwinn front. I like the rear SLIK tire! You can still see evidence of the original injection moulding nubs on them. *A local told me "you would be an idiot if you didnt part this out"... I couldnt bring myself to doing that.
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make
someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you
can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in
value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and
thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big
challenge. If you check out Pricetronic, the selection on any 1960s Stingray
bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning,
riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once
they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and
have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested
bicycle unless otherwise noted. *A great bike to display, ride and enjoy, or restore. Would also be a
great source of parts for your Schwinn Fastback boys bicycle! (would be
a shame to see this used for parts but the choice is yours) You do not
see these often! A great way to round out your collection or to start
one! *READ THIS!
I got this bike just like you see it. The previous owner spent a crazy amount of $ to have a body shop paint and decal the frame, forks, and chainguard. They LOOK GREAT! The color is not exactly coppertone but is VERY appealing and looks good! The guy said he bought a bunch of NEW OLD STOCK parts from a Schwinn shop in the 1990s and installed them on this bike. I dont know for sure what is NEW and what is not but the whole bike looks good! The pedals, tires, maybe seat, etc all look to be NOS parts? (see pics and be your own judge) NOTE if you look closely, the handlebars and wheel chrome shows age. (probably original for the bike) Bike has not been ridden since the resto. It has been inside a clean dry smoke free home on display! These bikes rarely
come along! I took lots of pics and have nothing to hide. Please look closely for exact condition.
If you click on any of the pics they get
very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *CONSIDER THIS. If you spent $1k and had to make a bike look this nice, you would invest a ton of time and $ into it. SKIP ALL THAT and enjoy this one right away. This is a cool bike in the RIGHT color! The Fastback bikes ride much nicer than the cool KRATE bikes! (they look awesome but these ride much better) I hope you enjoy this! These do not come along often! TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT AND THIS WILL ONLY GO UP IN VALUE! GIVE YOURSELF or someone you love the COOLEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER!!!
*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. Sold as is because it is used. I try to list
anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike
that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor
tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder
to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning,
riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes
but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped
partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have
them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they
left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has
shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without
insurance.
*SHIPPING TIME I ship bikes on Tuesdays and Fridays via Fed Ex.
Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it
allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to
ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment. If I receive your payment by 1
pm central time on Thursday, it gives enough time to have it packed and
ship Friday AM. If paid after that time, please expect it to go out with
the next shipment.
*SHIPPING COSTS: Fed Ex, USPS, as well as UPS have recently raised
their shipping rates due to the higher cost of fuel. Sorry for the
slight increase in shipping costs.
*PLEASE NOTE, I WILL NO LONGER BE SHIPPING FULL SIZE BIKES OUTSIDE OF
THE USA. This is due to the high cost of shipping and customs. If you
are anywhere outside the lower 48 States including Alaska, Hawaii, or
Puerto Rico contact me before you bid as shipping will cost more. Fed Ex
just increased the rates. I can ship to AK, HI, or PR for approx
$99.95. This is a 10+ day service and includes packing. This i the best
deal I can get to ship to these locations. Please do not bid if this is unacceptable.

the amount stated in the listing. THANK YOU!
